Congratulations, you have Graduated!

Now what?

Pass the bar, check.

Get a job…check

Get a job as a lawyer…working on that.

Hang out my own shingle? Possibly.

Challenges

In days long past, getting a law degree and passing the bar meant that “you had arrived.” Getting your first job was not difficult, and your future was pretty much in your hands. Fast forward to today. No one is guaranteed a job, and instead of employers owing you, you now owe big bucks. After the heady experiences of graduating and passing the bar, you are now overwhelmed.

Law school taught you how to “think like a lawyer,” but not how to run a business. Your career is your business whether you want to be on your own, in a firm, or outside of law altogether. The challenges include:

  • Marketing and networking
  • Leadership
  • Communication
  • Time management
  • Positive self-sustenance

Accountability

A lawyer coach co-collaborates with you to create an action plan to help you move forward and achieve your goals. In addition, a lawyer coach talks with you on a weekly basis to help you move forward in completing your action plan.

A lawyer coach:

  • Helps you adopt precise and realistic goals
  • Meets with you weekly to focus on your goals
  • Holds you accountable to achieving your goals
  • Provides techniques to manage short term and long-term goals
